Studio Visit - Golden Wolf

As I had previously talked with Henry Purrington through him delivering a talk and emailing him afterwards, I asked him if it would be possible to arrange a studio visit to Golden Wolf. He said that they would be happy to show me the studio and two other students from my course also wanted to come. The three of us went to the studio (struggling to find it initially) and were briefly shown around as the studio itself is quite small, made up of two floors. The ground floor is where they do all the work - the animating and developing, whilst upstairs is meeting rooms, kitchen and bar. Henry showed us the work that Golden Wolf does and what they look for in applicants. We were also shown advertisement work that was still in production which gave me an idea of what it would be like to work in a studio.

Overall this studio visit reaffirmed what Reg Issac said at MAF, that 2D animation is wanted and desired in the industry and studios are looking for 2D animators. I also liked the studio atmosphere and mentality and believe that working in a studio such as Golden Wolf would be a good path for me.
