Studio Visit - Blue Zoo

While I was at MAF, I asked Catherine Salkead if I could come and have a tour of the Blue Zoo studio, to which she said to email her while I was down in London to organise it. During my week in London, I was shown the three levels of the Blue Zoo studio. The front counter reception, is connected to the advertising department which I was not shown around as they were very focused. The studio is split into three levels but each level is not dedicated to a certain area - it was a very close-knit layout, concept artists, modellers, animators and directors were all sat together and so could resolve difficulties quickly. Like Golden Wolf it had a very focused atmosphere which was also very positive and optimistic. This positive atmospheres I have experience at Blue Zoo and Golden Wolf make me excited to work in the industry. I got to talk with a member of each department and got filled in with how Blue Zoo's pipeline works.

If I had the opportunity to work as Blue Zoo studio , I would want to work as one of their pre-production artists. At some point I intend to send off an application for a role as a junior artist.
