Effective Presentation

Presentations are about communication. the communication of a story or a journey. Wether it is about ideas, thoughts, concepts, progress, or the resolution of a project. it gives the presenter a chance to get feedback and constructive criticism.

A presentation is treating your audience like idiots, like they know nothing about the theme giving you a chance to get all the important information out but in digestible amounts to get the main point of your presentation across. This means less text but not huge text. Text should only be a prompt on speaking and getting the point across verbally. The presentation isn't meant to just be your script to read of but more of a prompt to support your speaking and ideas.

Presentations shouldn't be stressful, you should be prepared and ready, knowing your subject, keeping the points simple. Images are a good way to help you get your idea across but using clip art can suggest a form of laziness or rushed development.

Mistakes can happen and if it does happen don't worry just carry on correcting yourself. but to make sure this doesn't happen, practice. Practice your presentation alone, with friends or family make sure you've got it down. The day of the presentation be well rested and get in early to be prepared and ready.
